Assignment: create a website about us and visual communications
We used I web to create our website. We did a page about ourselves, and then a page highlighting our mashups and finally a page with our comics on it.
I made my pictures, some text, and a headline all hyperlinks linking to my blog or bigger versions of my pictures.
I also added a link on my blog and in this post to my website so people can easily navigate back and forth.

ReplyDeleteThis comment is not based on this post, but it is based on the sounds of the basketball game on your page. You are the only person who did something different with your page by adding a sound to it. I think it's pretty cool!
Concept: Give your viewers something to listen to as they browse your page. It just so happens to be something that you love, so you share it with them. After all, it IS your page
Craft: Honestly, I don't know how you put the sound on here, but I'm guessing that you used Blogger's "customize" option and tweeked some settings on there
Composition: The sound takes over the whole page, but it fits in with all your pictures

ReplyDeleteCraft: This blog is very unique. It caught my attention right away with all the different stuff on it. It has many activites that the viewer can look at and do on this page. I also really like the sound that is on here which shows your personality.
Composition: I really like the layout and how consistant it is. The big basketball banner at the top really caught my eye and stood out the most. I think that is my favorite part. I also really like all the pictures that she added and the slideshow is very neat! It made me stop for a second and want to see what the next picture was going to be ah, very pretty! The dodgeball and quotes on the bottom also were very different that not many people had.
concept: The concept of this page is to show who brittany is and what she is interested in. It tells the different steps of her artwork and why she chose the pictures. The gadgets on the side made me want to learn more about her and her personality. The sound really sticks out and is very cool.
Craft: I chose your blog to put in my top five for a couple of reasons. First off, I love that you have a quote of the day. It's so unique and a great idea. I love quotes!
ReplyDeleteComposition: Your layout is really nice. The pink text stands out well against the background and makes it easy to read.
Concept: The concept of making the blog your own was achieved well. The quote box makes me want to come back and see the different quotes, so of course i'll read the blog entries too.
Craft: Your Blog is definitley in my top five. Many people in the class have the same template/background for there blog but you were able to "own" yours.
ReplyDeleteComposition: The first thing that caught my eye was the the picture of the three basketballs in the upper lefthand corner. It wasn't until I turned the volume up on the computer when I was able to fully experience the uniquness of your blog by listening to the sounds of a basketball game. I'm not quite sure how you were able to do that but it really separates you from the pack.
Concept: The concept of designing this blog was to help bring some recognition to our art work. You were able to do exactly that with all the separate links that you provided on the left side of your webpage. This made it easy for me to be able to quickly access you slide shows and view your artwork.
Craft-It looks like you had fun with your blogger and really made it your own not only with the background, but adding in the basketball elements. Your readers defiantly know who you are.
ReplyDeleteComposition-What drew me to the page was the picture of what Im assuming is the basketball team. Yet once on here, you really made it your own with the sounds of the basketball games. It really shows what your passion is!
Concept-The concept obviously was to make the website your own and you succeeded!

Composition - The best part about your page is how consistent it is. Nothing threw me off and i wasn't confused by any extra tools you have on your page.
Concept - Because of the hard work you put into this blog, people who view your page will want to stick around to check out your art work.
